TÜV Rheinland awards the first Functional Safety Management (FSM) certificate with the highest maturity level
Electronics, which must operate reliably enough to control the potential hazards they pose to life, limb and the environment must be designed to be functionally safe. The basic safety standard for Functional Safety (IEC 61508) requires designers and manufacturers to implement a Functional Safety Management (FSM) for the safety life cycle.
embeX GmbH, the technologically leading development service provider for the automation, medical and transportation industries, is the first company to receive a TÜV Rheinland certificate with the highest Maturity Level 5 for its Functional Safety Management (FSM). This award is granted by TÜV Rheinland, as embeX GmbH has continuously provided proof of this during an audit and certification cycle of more than 10 years. For a multitude of safety-related product developments with hardware and software the company has introduced, implemented, and complied to all organisational measures and requirements in accordance with the relevant standards (IEC 61508).
